Drug Rep Time

How to succeed in Pharmaceutical Sales.

Are you valuable to your docs?

So far answering to the pole most of you said either “NO” or “Sometimes”. The pole is still open.
So far out of a bunch of answers to the survey ??? over 70% of you said either “NO” or “UNSURE”. Both the pole and the survey will remain open for two more days. I am frankly shocked. You know why? Because before I even opened my mouth to share any of my experiences, thoughts or suggestions with YOU, you are already educating ME with your answers.
Please post your comment where and how, you think, the practicing docs learn. And be sure to have some space in your stomach for a good desert, because I will tell you very soon how we/doctors learn. Just wait….It’s coming!

  1. I think they learn from periodicals,seminars,CMEs.
I am not sure if that depends on some requirements. I actually never asked any of th physician how they keep up with the new stuff.

  2. Doubt that. They don’t have time.
I depends on who you deal with.

  3. I think it is up to the rep to discover WHAT the Dr WANTS to learn. Too many reps “show up and throw up” everything they were told to tell a Dr in their training class and feel if they get thru the whole message that it was a good call. WRONG- you just insulted your Drs intelligence and showed how little you possess. Finding out what info they want and providing it is your job and some times it will take time, but if done right you will not only get prescriptions but respect.

  4. I think so as long as you can demonstrate compentency. Otherwise you will get the smoke screen.
